Assessment

On track

The country is on track to reach their electrification targets and objectives

Lacking

The country is progressing, but the legislative framework and pace of progression is slow

At risk

Structural gaps that impair the country’s capacity to reach their electrification targets.

Transport

  • Electric vehicles: the data is as of August 2026
  • Light vehicles: motor vehicles with less than four wheels and some lightweight four-wheelers
  • Light commercial vehicles: a motor vehicle used to carry goods or people with a gross weight of no more than 3.5 metric tons. Common types include panel vans, pickup trucks, and small delivery or passenger trucks that can be driven with a standard car license.

Electrification

  • Electrification: electrification is meant as percentage of electricity in the share of final energy consumption
  • Electricity production data is based on IEA data 2024.
