Watt’s Next EU: The Electric Pathway to a Competitive, Secure Industry in Europe.
Brussels – December 9 – 09.00 to 17.30
The Electrification Alliance, in partnership with the European Climate Foundation, will host Watt’s Next: The Electric Pathway to a Competitive, Secure Industry in Europe — a full-day in-person event bringing together Europe’s leading energy, industry, civil society and policy voices to accelerate electrification across the continent.
Taking place on 9 December 2025 at SPARKS, Brussels, the event will explore how Europe can unlock its full electrification potential to strengthen competitiveness, enhance energy security, and deliver on its climate ambitions. With the EU Electrification Action Plan expected in early 2026, this timely gathering will set the tone for the next phase of Europe’s clean industrial transformation.
“Europe’s competitiveness depends on our ability to electrify fast and smart,” said Adrian Hiel, Director of the Electrification Alliance. “This event will bring together the sharpest minds in energy and industry to chart the electric pathway for Europe’s future.”
Michael Liebreich, founder of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, will launch his much-anticipated Electrification Ladder — offering a groundbreaking framework for understanding how and where the world can replace fossil fuels with electricity.
The conference will also feature high-profile contributions from Laurence Tubiana (European Climate Foundation), Kristian Ruby (Eurelectric), Kingsmill Bond (Ember), MEP Sean Kelly and Paulo Cabral (EPP), Michael Villa (smartEN), Giles Dickson (WindEurope), Walburga Hemetsberger (Solar Power Europe) and many more.
